Alan
Garfinkel
Alan Garfinkel grew up in South
Florida where hurricanes and
tropical storms were always a
constant threat. Today, Mr.
Garfinkel is notably the nation’s
leading expert in Natural Disaster
Law and is listed on the Bar
Register of Pre-eminent lawyers. He
has devoted his legal career to
natural disaster relief and civil
litigation and lectures throughout
the country on Insurance Law.
Mr. Garfinkel graduated from
Florida State University and
attended Harvard University at
Cambridge, Massachusetts, summer
1984, Florida State University Law
School and Mercer University Law
School where he was admitted Juris
Doctor in 1989. Mr. Garfinkel became
Board Certified in 1998 and obtained
a second Board Certification in
2003.
Mr. Garfinkel was awarded the
highest legal rating in the country
by the most prestigious attorney
rating entity, Martindale- Hubbell -
(www.martindale.com), the world’s
oldest lawyer rating publication.
His rating demonstrates that Mr.
Garfinkel has reached the height of
professional excellence, and was
recognized for the highest levels of
skill and integrity.
Mr. Garfinkel is admitted and
qualified as an attorney and
counselor of the Supreme Court of
the United States and is admitted as
an attorney in all Florida and
Tennessee Courts. Mr. Garfinkel is a
member of the American Bar
Association, the United States Court
of Appeals for the 11th Circuit, and
the United States District Court
Middle District of Florida. He is
also admitted to the National Trial
Academy.
After a nationwide selection
process, Alan Garfinkel was recently
